LA Green Grounds had a great spring/summer garden this year. Time for summer clean up to get ready for fall classes. Come help restore growing beds, garden paths, learn to build boxed beds, learn about seed saving, harvesting and wise watering.
We'll be cleaning up plants gone to seed, weeds, harvesting lots of tomatoes, retraining vines, cleaning up the orchard, building a berm while incorporating compostable plant materials, rebuilding paths. This will be a great learning experience for all who participate - and fun. We want to have the garden in shape for our fall classes!
We'll supply tools, gloves, snacks, and inspiration. Bring your gardening spirit and energy to whip the garden in shape.
Let's meet at LAGG's Teaching Garden, across street from 5501 Boden St. (at curve of Boden St. & Carmona Ave, LA 90016, Sunday, August 27, 8:30 to 11:30 AM.
Wear a sun hat, sunscreen. Bring a water bottle, a friend, snacks to share.
