Call To Earth is a CNN series dedicated to environmentalism, conservation and sustainability. Across TV, our website and social media, we celebrate the people who are making a difference in the fight for a healthier planet.

What is Call to Earth Day?

On November 10th 2021, CNN will celebrate today’s Champions of Change and inspire the environmentalists of tomorrow. We’ll be staging our first ever ‘Call To Earth Day’ and it will be marked across TV shows, on our website and through our social media channels. At the center of it all will be the premiere of a new 30-minute special.

LA Green Grounds is joining CNN's Call to Earth Day to educate and engage people in the battle to reduce human impact on the planet.  We would love for you to get involved.  

LA Green Grounds is holding a mini Dig-In Wednesday, November 10. Participants will learn how to easily build raised garden beds without special tools, and plant an organic food garden.

There are a limited number of volunteer openings for this event, so we are looking to those with prior dig-in or related experience and are vaccinated against COVID-19. Prior sign up is required and the Torrance address will be provided to registrants only. ALL VOLUNTEER OPENINGS FOR THIS DIG-IN HAVE BEEN FILLED.  THANK YOU!

Please bring vaccination proof, CA drivers license or other proof of identity, refillable water bottle, and wear closed-toe shoes, hat, gloves, face mask, and sunscreen. Please complete release form and bring with you to so we can get started promptly.
