Call for Volunteers for LAGG's Teaching Garden TnT Work Day!

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS!

Do you want to get your hands dirty and break a sweat?

TARO AND TRELLIS CLEAN UP

LA Green Grounds is looking for volunteers to remove some of the taro (pictured above) and plants at the base of our "new", donated trellis (pictured below). Come prepared to work!  ;)  We’ll clear space to grow scarlet runner beans or thornless raspberries in the Nishida Teaching Garden in South Los Angeles.

We'll be providing sandwiches and a from-the-garden-to-the-table salad for lunch.

Volunteer Lead: Florence Nishida

Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, and a hat. Bring a refillable water bottle, and gardening gloves if you have some. We suggest wearing long pants and long-sleeved shirts.

If you need to cancel after you register, please cancel via link in confirmation email that will be sent to you so we can ensure we have enough people-power.

If registration is full, but you'd like to be added to our wait list, please send an email to [email protected] with "TnT Wait List" in the subject, and provide best phone number to contact you, should we receive a cancellation.

Please arrive a few minutes early to find parking (on the street), and to sign in. Please also complete the Release of Liability Form prior to event to expedite the sign in process.
