2020 MLK Day LAGG Teaching Garden Clean-up and Planting

Calling for volunteers!

Every year, we have a New Year's spruce up and planting day at the LA Green Grounds edible garden. Join us on Martin Luther King, Jr. day weekend for creating new plantings (veggie greens and succulent beds) and cleaning up old beds.

Learn to make a quick and inexpensive bamboo "fence". Prune a woody shrub and use the prunings for a wattle fence for support of a contoured planting area.

Taste herbs from our garden, check out new tropical plants we're adding.

Wear sunscreen, dress for temperature and for work, bring your own water bottle, bring snacks for yourself or for sharing.
