CA Oak Tree Grove Volunteer Day -July 25

Volunteers are invited to help create something that will benefit our community for generations—a California native coastal oak grove in South Los Angeles.

Bordering the Good Earth Community Garden and the LA Green Grounds Teaching Garden, this living landscape will provide much-needed shade, improve air quality, support native birds, butterflies, and pollinators, and create a peaceful gathering place where people can connect with nature. Whether you have years of gardening experience or simply a willingness to lend a hand, your time and effort will help transform this vision into a lasting legacy of environmental stewardship and community pride.

Join us as we prep the area to plant the seeds of a healthier, greener future—one oak tree at a time.

Registration required below. Please cancel if you are unable to attend to make room for another willing volunteer.

Sandwiches will be provided for lunch after volunteer work session.

Volunteer should:

  • Wear sturdy, closed-toes shoes, hat, long pants, long-sleeve shirt, and sunscreen
  • Bring refillable water container.
  • Complete Release of Liability Form now.

Lead Volunteer: Patricia B.

Directions will be provided in registration confirmation email.
