Mulch Day Saturday January 26

Got a couple of hours? Please come out to LAGG's Teaching Garden to lay down mulch along the pathways and in the garden beds.

This is an annual practice which will help suppress weeds (thereby significantly reducing future labor) and keep our veggie beds thriving. Learn about the benefits of mulching while you help sift and/or shovel. Of course Florence always has to feed you so refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.

Please bring your own pair of gloves and, if you have it, a shovel.

This is a great opportunity for those of you who have been wanting to contribute to the garden in a short and very meaningful way!

Want inspiration? Read poem "Mulch" by Linda Hasselstrom.
