Volunteers needed to help move wood chips from street onto the sidewalk near our teaching garden. This is a 'the more, the merrier' volunteer opportunity. We are looking to move the chips quickly so our neighbors can have their road back. 

Wear hats, closed toe shoes and comfortable clothes; bring water bottles and wear sun protection.

Wood chips make great ground cover - a plump layer keeps moisture in and weeds out while decomposing slowly to provide nutrients to soil. Please bring large plastic bags or other containers if you want to take a bunch home with you. We have plenty  of wood chips to share!
