Good Earth Community Garden has been open for over 20 years. Over time it has lost its layout and overgrown. This caused the garden to temporarily close. Los Angeles Community Garden Council wants to formally manage the lot. In order to do so, we need to clean up the garden to show it's potential and gain the trust of LADWP. We hope that this day can launch more clean-up days to high light Good Earth.
This project was inspired by the gardeners in Good Earth. Their passion is to have access to fresh, organic fruits and vegetables. This garden is convenient and is used to educate many, to lose this garden would not only hurt the gardeners themselves but the community.
