Native Plant Gardening and Chumash Lore

Talk presented by Los Angeles Public Library by LAGG's Master Gardener Florence Nishida.

Thursday, November 15
4:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Learn how to make paper pots and plant California poppies with master gardener Florence Nishida. Participants will also learn Chumash mythology and traditional uses of California native plants.

There will also be milkweed seeds from the LA Green Grounds teaching garden to be planted around the city to support Monarch butterflies. These butterflies are on the verge of extinction.

This program is open to kids, teens, and parents. All supplies will be provided and snacks will be served.
